Completion of the Training Program for the First Round of Beneficiaries

Date: December 15, 2024

The first-round beneficiaries, after completing three and a half months of training under the supervision of a professional carpet weaving instructor, successfully acquired the skills of traditional carpet weaving and completed their very first handwoven carpets.

All trainees attended the classes regularly and consistently improved their weaving skills throughout the program.
In addition to learning the art of carpet weaving, they also received essential life skills training, including small business practices, principles of healthy living, hygiene awareness, and other necessary life skills.

Upon completion of their carpets, each group of three transferred their weaving loom to their homes. The beneficiaries took their handmade carpets to the market, where they successfully sold them at very favorable prices.

Half of the income generated was used to support their household expenses, while the remaining half was invested in purchasing new weaving materials — enabling them to continue their carpet weaving work independently from home.

At the end of this training cycle, we held a closing ceremony in the presence of the esteemed representative of the International Women's Organization, celebrating the achievements of our first group of trainees.
